Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the triple talaq verdict
historic. He also said, that the judgement grants equality to Muslim women and
is a powerful measure for women empowerment.

AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said that
triple talaq verdict was not a unanimous one. Many practical difficulties will
arise now, said Owaisi.
